We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team.

Job Description: As a Field Service Engineer specializing in Electrical Equipment and Automation, you will play a vital role in providing technical support and solutions to our valued customers on board commercial ships. Your primary responsibilities will include:

1. On-Site Equipment Diagnosis and Repair:
Travel to customer vessels at ports or offshore locations to perform diagnostics and repairs on electrical equipment and automation systems, including generators, switchgear, control systems, and PLCs.
Identify and troubleshoot complex technical issues, locate faults, and implement effective repair solutions to ensure the proper functioning of equipment.

2. Maintenance and Upgrades:
Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of electrical and automation systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry regulations. Perform equipment upgrades and software installations as required to keep systems up-to-date and aligned with the latest industry standards.

3. Customer Support:
Collaborate closely with shipowners, ship managers, and vessel crew to understand their technical needs and provide timely and effective solutions. Offer technical guidance and training to vessel personnel on the correct use and maintenance of electrical equipment and automation systems.

4. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive records of service activities, equipment configurations, and repair history. Prepare detailed service reports, documenting equipment status, findings, and recommended actions.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field. Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer, preferably in the maritime industry. In-depth knowledge of electrical equipment, automation systems, generators, switchgear, and PLCs.

Desirable knowledge in next: Boiler automation, IG & IGG Automation, Main Engine Controls, Generator controls, pneumatic process control system, integrated alarm monitoring system, ICCP & MGPS, ballast & draft gauging system, ShaPoli & Shaft meter for EEXI-CII, BWTS, auto unloading system, propulsion control system, COT level gauging system, power management system, ship performance monitoring system, controllable pitch propulsion (CCP), internal communication system (PA GA Talk back, sound powered Telephone), fire alarm system, gas smapling & fixed gas detection system.

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Willingness to travel frequently and work in diverse maritime environments. Relevant certifications and training in marine electrical and automation systems are a plus.
